Christmas Cookies

Every year we make Christmas cookies. Garrison and I would make them even before we had the girls, but it has definitely become a lot more fun. Madalyn has been able to help us for a couple of years now she is very good at putting the decorations on some of the cookies received a lot more sprinkles than others. Mackenzie did not get to help much since everything she gets her hands on now goes straight into her mouth, but she did enjoy watching her Daddy and sister decorating. She even tried to grab the pan and help a couple of times. We had a lot of fun! Posted by Picasa

What a clever idea

Madalyn and her cousin Will were playing with playdough the other day while I was in the other room doing some things and when I went in the kitchen I noticed that Madalyn had decided to hang some of her art work up with out asking me for tape. She thought the playdough would work quite nicely and it did! Madalyn does definitely live up to her initials MES she can be a mess sometimes! Posted by Picasa

Breakfast with Santa

Our Church invited Santa to come eat breakfast with us this year and we had a lot of fun. There were lots of different activities for the children to do while they were waiting for there turn to see Santa, like coloring pages, crafts, or watching a movie. Madalyn enjoyed doing all of them, but she took her ornament making very seriously. She is just like her mommy and loves to do crafts and projects. This past week she has made lots of "decorations" for our house. These are pages out of her Sesame Street Christmas coloring book that she had colored and then hangs in all different place of our house. Posted by Picasa

Trimming the Tree

We were very excited about Christmas that we went out the Sunday after Thanksgiving this year to get our Christmas tree-this was the earliest we had ever gone to get it. However we did not decorate it until this past Thursday. It seemed to take forever to find the time in our schedules to decorate it. Madalyn was very excited when the tine finally came. She was a speed demon at hanging the ornaments. In this picture she is holding the first ornament that went on our tree this is one that she made last year. When we were all finished putting on the lights, hanging the ornaments, and adding the bows Madalyn exclaimed "Our Tree is "bootiful" isn't it!" Posted by Picasa

Christmas Lights

We Went out to Opryland Hotel with our friends Andrea, Elijah and Abby Manor to see all of the Christmas lights and decorations. The girls had a really good time and it got all of us in the Christmas spirit. This is a picture of Mackenzie and I in front of an extremely large Christmas tree in the Delta garden area.

New Chair and New Foods

Mackenzie is getting so big- She just started using her sisters booster high chair in this picture and along with that has started eating big girl foods like crackers and cheerios and boy does she love it. Mackenzie likes to eat (you would not know it by her size), but she really does love food. I have also started mashing up real bananas and I am pretty sure that is her new all time favorite food. Posted by Picasa

Be Thankful...

Madalyn had her school program on November 16th. She did a wonderful job getting on stage and singing with all her friends. Her two favorite songs were "Mr. Turkey are you getting nice and fat" and "Be Thankful". She also made some very cute center pieces for the tables a turkey and a tee pee. She is holding an apple with her name and the things she told her teacher she is thankful for if you can not tell what it says she is thankful for "Mommy, Daddy, baby sister and the sun" I thought that it was very cute! Madalyn is definitely always full of surprises. Posted by Picasa
